Tasmania

It is forecasted that Tasmania will experience drier summers, wetter winters and more frequent heavy rainfall events (Pittock 2003). Whilst southern mainland Australia is predicted to receive a decrease in rainfall in most parts, it is likely that Tasmania will experience an increase annual rainfall, with an associated increased water supply (Pittock 2003).
