About Membership
As a central part of the Australian climate movement, CANA provides the coordination for members to build relationships, collaborate on strategy and campaigns, and develop and share resources and capacity to build a stronger, more effective social movement advocating for action on climate change.
By joining CANA you’ll have access to online platforms, regular working groups, conferences and more.

Membership Fees
CANA seeks to be as inclusive as possible, and membership contributions are progressive based on the size of your organisation, the capacity to contribute, and the level of involvement you want to have with the network. Fees are determined by your membership profile and the fee calculation type that applies to your organisation.
Solidarity fee
First Nations-led organisations are offered fee-free membership at the Committed level, reflecting CANA’s solidarity commitments and our recognition of communities experiencing disproportionate climate impacts and their leadership.

Multi-issue and international organisations
A capacity-adjusted fee applies to your organisation if your climate or environment work forms part of a broader domestic or international portfolio of work. This uses a two-step model to ensure the fee reflects both climate engagement and overall organisational capacity.
Calculate standard fee from Australian climate budget
Take your organisation’s budget for Australian climate-related work and apply it to the standard fee table above to get a fee.Check the capacity floor for total revenue
Apply your organisation’s total annual revenue to the capacity floor table below to get a minimum fee.
The final fee is whichever of these two figures is higher.
We will work with each multi-issue and international member individually to calculate your fee.
